Becoming a member...

of the Company requires dedication and hard work -- a major commitment by both student and parents. Company members are cast in Vacaville Ballet performances before the Artistic Director draws from the Academy. We also require all of our company members to maintain a certain grade point average in their academic schooling.

Academic attendance is essential, as is attendance at all assigned Academy classes and performance rehearsals. Community service hours and several guest appearances are also mandatory.

A Note on Education: We encourage all of our students in the Academy to strive for excellence in school. We instill in our students that a solid academic education is invaluable to lead a successful life. We also stress continuing their education into college. We assist them with college selection with major interest, placement and scholarship application in their junior year of high school.

Company History:

The Vacaville Ballet Theatre Company was founded in 1994. It is directed by Heidi LuMaye. Vacaville Ballet Theatre Company is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose purpose is to expose the community to the fine classical art of ballet providing Vacaville with it’s very own Company to proudly represent Vacaville throughout the United States and beyond. Some of the Vacaville Ballet Theatre Company’s full length productions are:

  • Beauty and the Beast
  • Clara’s Gift
  • Snow White and the Seven Dwarves
  • A Christmas Carol
  • Alice in Wonderland 2005

They have also performed such Repertoires as:

  • Emotions Within
  • Precious Interpretations performed to Gershwin
  • Heroes performed to the soundtrack of the motion picture Back Draft
